WHAT IS ALLAQUIX^® LITE STOP BLEEDING GAUZE

AllaQuix^® Lite Stop Bleeding Gauze™ is medical-grade hemostatic bandage, that is a blood stopping bandage. AllaQuix^® Lite is the perfect choice when you need an economical option that may stop bleeding quick than what you normally would use.

AllaQuix^® Lite is made from 100% medical-grade calcium alginate. AllaQuix^® Lite Stop Bleeding Gauze™ is for the management of minor cuts, minor scrapes, minor lacerations, and for wounds with moderate to heavy exudate.

AllaQuix^® Lite is specifically designed to stop bleeding, even for people who normally have trouble stopping bleeding.

WHAT IS CALCIUM ALGINATE?

Calcium alginate is a renewable, plant-based material. It is an extremely absorptive substance. What do we mean by “extremely absorptive”? How about absorbing up to 20 times its own weight! Because of this, calcium alginate has been used by medical professionals for years for wounds with moderate to heavy "exudate" or excretion of fluids.

HOW DOES ALLAQUIX^® LITE WORK?

AllaQuix^® Lite is made from calcium alginate – an extremely absorptive substance. It is this ability to be highly absorbent which allows AllaQuix^® Lite to control bleeding.

As fluid and blood from the wound is absorbed by the wound dressing, it forms a gel on the wound. This moist gel seals the wound and helps to control bleeding.  This gel helps to keep a moist environment for optimal wound healing, and helps to regenerate skin and speed healing.  This moist gel keeps the dressing from sticking to the wound and allows for easier removal.

Remove dressing within 7 days. If the dressing is not easily removed, moisten it with sterile saline solution prior to removal.

Store in a clean, dry place. Use by the expiration date on package. Sterilized by ethylene oxide processing. For one time use only. Do not re-sterilize. Do not reuse. Do not use if packaging is damaged.

Longer compression time may be necessary for patients who have high blood pressure or are overweight.

People with a known hypersensitivity to alginates, the product itself, or to its components should not use the product.

This product should not be used as a surgical sponge or for surgical implantation, or to control heavy bleeding.
